• Save your documents as the name of the polygon you are using. You should have a document named hexagon and triangle when you are done.

1. Do Problem 1.3 on paper
2. Make either a square or a hexagon tessellation

3. Make a triangle tessellation
4. Make a tessellation using two regular polygons
5. Make another tessellation using two regular polygons
6. Make a tessellation using three regular polygons

1. Learn how to use the Appleworks paint program.
   1. Go into applications/Appleworks 6(folder)/Appleworks 6 (double click)/painting
   2. Use the tools on the side to learn how they work. You can mouse over the tools to get an explanation of the tool.
   3. Make sure you use the following tools: selection rectangle, paint bucket, pencil, lasso, regular polygon tool, and the eraser.
   4. Try to double click on tools and hold the shift key down while using them and see what happens.
   5. "Play" with the paint program one whole class period before you watch any videos below.
   6. Now try making a tessellation of your choice using the Paint program.
   7. Be careful. Once you let go of something, it gets "painted" to the document and you may not be able to "grab" it again.
